Provence Rose tasting - BRIGHTON
A tasting dedicated to Provence rosé wines. Rosé is one of my favourite wine styles and it now accounts for over 10% of all wine sales in the UK. Provence rosé leads the way in terms of reputation and market share. Did you know that 88% of all of the wine made in Provence is rosé? They have been perfecting it for over 2,000 years.
In this summery tasting (sunshine please Brighton as we might be outside on the terrace at Hotel du Vin) we will learn about all things Provence rosé. How it is made, what the main areas of production are and the different styles available.
Six delicious rosé wines on tasting:
Cote de Provence rosé
Coteaux d'Aix en Provence rosé
Rosé from one of the 18 Cru Classé estates
My favourite local Provence rosé from IGP Alpilles (I'm down there in early August so will be bringing this back with me!)
A well known branded Provence rosé made by an Englishman
A biodynamic and organic Provence rosé
All tastings are tutored with a digital presentation and you will receive full tasting notes, a tasting sheet and food nibbles - olives and goats cheese.
