Brunello di Montalcino Vertical Tasting
The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG region in southern Tuscany is home to some of the world's most sought after red wines.
Sangiovese ripens a little more here than in Chianti Classico to the north and the wines have a voluptous, sensous quality to them. The DOCG rules call for the longest cellar ageing time before release anywhere in Italy.
Top producers like Biondi-Santi, Banfi, Salvioni and Poggio di Sotto are iconic names and there are many more producers to discover.
We will bring the region to life for you and taste a range of wines from a number of producers and different vintages to explore how Brunello di Montalcino wines develop over time.
This tasting of seven Brunello wines will appeal to lovers of Sangiovese, of Italian reds and of course people who are already Brunello fans.
This is a tutored tasting with a digital presentation, tasting notes, tasting sheet, professional ISO tasting glasses and some Italian food nibbles.
